I have many years experience of working with couples and individuals with all kinds of relationship difficulties.
I will work with you on whatever emotional difficulty you are experiencing, either as a couple or individually, in a relationship or 'single'. I will not judge you for the difficulties that you are experiencing and will work with you in a common sense down to earth way.
I also specialise in working with loss. This can cover so many issues including bereavement, loss of a relationship, job and health.
EDUCATION

I am a fully qualified Relationship and Psychosexual Therapist, holding a Diploma in Relationship Therapy from the Relate Institute (University of Hull ) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy

I am registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (Cosrt) .

I am also a qualified Grief Recovery Specialist holding the Certification in Grief and Loss Recovery which is endorsed by the BACP.
EXPERIENCE
My interest in emotional well being began over 30 years ago when working with Local Authority Mental Health Trusts. I saw first hand how we can experience difficulties in our intimate and romantic relationships. This can be something new and unexpected or it can seem like we are repeating patterns. Sometimes we may not know what it is ourselves, and feel confused and anxious about wanting things to be different but not knowing what to do to make the changes. Counselling can help to de-clutter some of the thoughts that can feel overwhelming and confusing. Having more of an understanding of why we think and react the way that we do can help us to make those changes and give us choices.

I charge £60 for individual clients and £80 for couples per hour.
I require 48 hours notice when cancelling appointments and for appointments not cancelled within this period I ask for half of the fee to be paid. For appointments cancelled on the day I ask for the fee to be paid in full. This helps me to recover some of the costs incurred including the room which I have booked specifically for our session. I am happy to discuss this if this would cause you any difficulty.
